Lisa Jackson says Apple buys carbon offsets, but 80% is real clean energy

Environmental lead Lisa Jackson has acknowledged in a podcast that Apple buys carbon offsets in order to hit its “100% carbon neutral” claim, but says that this is a relatively small proportion of the company’s total usage.

Interviewed on the Jane Goodall Hopecast, Jackson said that a lot of companies are satisfied with simply buying offsets, but that’s not Apple’s approach …

Honda announces all new models will be electric after 2030… but only in China to start

Honda has shared details of a comprehensive electrification strategy that includes two production vehicles and three concepts donning a new “e:N Series” electric branding. Tesla is under pressure from NHTSA over Full Self-Driving Beta NDA and ‘stealth recall’

The NHTSA is upping the pressure on Tesla as the regulator asked for more information about the non-disclosure agreement it made Full Self-Driving Beta testers agree to.

The government is also questioning Tesla about what it believes to be a potential “stealth recall” of Autopilot.
